True Story: A rainstorm sealed the deal

I joined Match.com sometime in September, and I was overwhelmed by the sudden response my profile received. I couldn’t even read all the emails!
There were a few guys who caught my eye, but none with the charm to catch my heart. Then I came across Jon, and he immediately grabbed my attention with his witty profile and captivating eyes.
I emailed him in October, and we chatted back and forth for a month or two before our demanding jobs and conflicting schedules made us lose touch. After remembering what a great guy Jon seemed to be, I sent Jon an email to catch up in April. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that he was still single and looking.
We talked for a few days, decided we should meet for a date in New York City and I was stunned. I couldn’t believe someone so handsome and witty was dating online. And there’s just something about him that makes you hang on his every word! I knew I was hooked. The butterflies in my stomach multiplied throughout the night, and I knew I’d see him again.
The next night we both had flights going in different directions for the weekend. However, it rained like never before, and my flight to California was cancelled. I crossed my fingers and called Jon… his flight to Boston was cancelled too! We decided to meet, and we had the most amazing night; I didn’t want it to end.
I am happy to say that nine months later, I still wake up every morning feeling like the luckiest girl in the world. We have moved in together and now live in Greenwich, Connecticut. Jon left New York and his job just to be closer to me. I am certain that Jon is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with, and I have Match.com to thank. We are discussing marriage and children now. I’m forever in debt to Match.com for introducing me to Jon, and since then, I’ve gotten 20-30 people to join the site just by telling our story.
